From Friday November 1 to Tuesday November 5, the seminar “Women in the IPA – Embracing an Inclusive Vision for the Future” was held at the IBZ Gimborn. Forty-six women from 24 IPA National Sections participated, including representatives from the United Kingdom (Westminster and Northern Ireland), Gibraltar, the Republic of Ireland, Canada, the United States (Northern California and Peru), Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Moldova, Romania, Lithuania, Israel, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of North Macedonia, and the Republic of Serbia.
Taša Mitrović Milić, Vice President of the IPA Region Belgrade, represented IPA Serbia at the seminar. IPA National President Martin Hoffmann also attended this important project for the future. On the second day, he spoke about the new strategy set by the International Executive Board, focusing on growth and professional development through more seminars. IPA Chairperson of the Professional Commission, Diego Trolese, also participated.
The women came together to learn, grow, connect, and plan how to support and empower each other, starting with an elevator pitch and aiming to make a positive impact in every aspect of their lives. Some of the key topics discussed included the Arthur Troop Scholarship, education missions, exchange programs, young police officer seminars, and strategic young members’ conferences.
At the end of the seminar, the location for next autumn’s event suggested Serbia.
